Growing up in North Dakota, Good Horses and Horsemanship have been the cornerstone of our training and breeding program. Having the opportunity to ride with legendary horseman such as Ray Hunt, Wil Howe, Tom Lyons, David Costello, Tom Shelly, Bobby Ingersoll, and numerous others has allowed a well-rounded knowledge base of the western performance horse. And the opportunity to ride several outstanding horses that include World Champions and major aged event finalists. With that being said the knowledge and experience base is not bound to the confines of the arena. Having spent numerous years taking care of thousands of cattle on several different operations from the high-country grazing permits of Western Colorado, to the Flint Hills of Kansas, to the Plains of eastern Montana, and the Badlands of North Dakota. Pride is taken in developing an outstanding, reliable ranch horse that will stay with you through the blistering hot days of summer and bitter cold days of winter. That foundation has led to the development of countless tremendous performance horses as well.







The Thomasson Performance Horses, LLC program has started multiple NRCHA and NCHA major aged event finalists. Most recently Lilly Rey the 2024 PCCHA Open Classic Challenge Champion shown by Matt Gaines. Cash Trades the Reserve Champion of the 2023 NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity shown by Sarah Dawson. As well as the high selling 2 yr. old at the 2021 BFA sale Lola Louisa (daughter of Dash Ta Fame). In addition, training and showing AQHA point earners, and multiple Ranch Horse Competition and Futurity winners. As well as raising and/or training several PRCA level rope horses.







Emphasizing breeding, training and developing strong, athletic performance horses with the substance, movement, trainability, integrity, and grit to withstand the rigors of the ranch and/or high levels of competition in the arena.
